Bioly

Objective

Neww Ventures launched "Bioly" to create local circular energy communities in small French towns lacking bio-waste systems. They sent residents a "Bioly Box" with a bio-bin, offering incentives to collect food scraps and drop them off at nearby points. These scraps would then be converted into bioenergy for the local community. The goal was to test the concept and gather public feedback.

Approach

The aim was to create a friendly, bold, and engaging visual identity to highlight the value of food waste. The visual identity centred around the idea: “What goes around comes around,” turning food scraps into bioenergy while changing public perceptions of waste collection.

Result

  • Logo: Fresh and friendly, with the "O" in Bioly representing an orange turned into green energy.

  • Illustrations: Simple, abstract designs of transformed food scraps.

  • Mascot: A friendly face created from the Bioly logo’s "O".

  • Signage: Bright signage with illustrations and the mascot, drawing attention to drop-off points.
