Tessa Tricks Design

Objective

Create a visual identity to bring to life an ecological landscape and garden design company based in Bristol.

Approach

Tessa Tricks, founder of Tessa Tricks Design, had a clear vision: to create beautiful gardens which enhance wellbeing and work with the natural environment. Together, we picked out the key elements the branding needed to communicate:

  • Works in harmony with nature and clients needs

  • Celebrating edible plants

  • Captures joy and community

  • Beauty in simplicity

Tessa was especially inspired by Japanese gardens and I wanted to reflect this in the logo design — combining her initials to create an icon reminiscent of a Japanese Torii Gate. We landed on the tagline ‘Joyful gardens, led by nature’ and combined this with beautiful, down to earth imagery of nature landscapes that captured Tessa’s ethos.
